Our story
It started with brainpower.
Agile Brains Consulting was founded in 2016 by Abrar Hashmi on a simple conviction: that clear thinking, shared openly, helps an organization solve its hardest problems, and then stand on its own. The approach was as direct as the name, captured in a framework we still use: Assess, Brainstorm, Coach, and Deliver. We measured success not by how long a client needed us, but by how quickly they no longer did.
One rule held from the first day and holds now: we tell clients the truth, even when it isn't what they hoped to hear.
The name on the door reflects the journey behind it. Abrar arrived in the United States on a student visa, built his career inside Fortune 500 technology organizations, and founded Agile Brains to prove that honest advice could be a business model. That conviction carried the firm onto the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing private companies.
Ask Abrar what keeps the firm sharp and the answer is simple: “We compete with ourselves.”
Clients kept asking for more than advice. They needed the people to build it, the systems to run it, and the skills to carry it forward. So we grew into a partner across the full range of enterprise IT: the consulting to shape it, the managed services to run it, the training to make teams self-sufficient, and the talent to staff it. As AI began to reshape every layer of that work, we built it into how we operate, not the edges.
We're trusted by clients across banking, insurance, healthcare, transportation, and private equity.
We're still people first, still relentless about quality, and still measured by whether we leave you stronger and able to stand on your own.
How we work
An honest read on where you actually stand, before anyone writes a roadmap.
Options on the table with your people in the room, not a deck delivered to them.
We build the capability as we go, so the work does not leave when we do.
Into your operating reality, running, and owned by your team.
Vision
A world where every organization can get the truth about its technology, and a partner with the range to act on it.
Mission
We help leaders meet the full demands of enterprise IT, pairing honest judgment about what will actually work with the range to deliver it. We staff it, shape it, run it, and build the skills to carry it forward, and we measure success by how capable we leave you.
Values
- Tell the truth. We say what will actually work, including what won't, and including when it means less work for us.
- Small footprint, senior people.A lean team of people who have done this before. No armies of juniors, no bills running over the roof.
- Leave clients stronger. We build, run, and hand over without lock-in. Clients stay because they choose to, and the work is always portable back to them.
- Proven, not promised.Good enough never is. We are measured by outcomes you can see, and would rather show a result than make a claim.
- Fearless, and in motion. No fear of the hard conversation or the first no, and a steady habit of acting rather than waiting.
